Parent/CaregiverExpectations
Here are some Parent and Caregiver Expectations so everyone is always on the same page :)

Parents
· Personally deliver your child to me and ensure that I am informed when departing;
. Ensure your child is healthy enough to be in the daycare setting free from virus' and infestation
. Communicate with Me the Care Giver the mood of your child, how well they have slept/ate and of any major changes in their normal routine
· Adhere to our drop off and pick up times outlined in your contract;
· Ensure that the doors and gates are closed after entry or exit, DO NOT allow children to open them
. Provide your child with a healthy lunch and snacks for the day
· Inform me if another authorized person will be picking up your child after care.
· Call in the event of an emergency or late drop off and pick up
· Ensure your Childs file is up to date; such as address and phone number changes, child's picture, immunizations, emergency contact info..
· Inform me of any current or pending court orders affecting your child.
· Provide the center with a photocopy of the court order to be kept with your child’s registration
Care Giver
I will always always welcome your child into my Child Care as FAMILY
· Ensuring that proper supervision is to be had at all times.
-I will be within arm’s reach of all children playing in water play, and be available to coach them with their large muscle movements on equipment at all times
· Encourage words and communication with all children to teach them through any issue with another child
· When playing in our outdoor space or going on a walk of the neighborhood or other “field trip” I will have clear sight lines to all children in the group at all times and will do regular head counts.
· Ensure that play areas have been assessed for risk towards the children such as broken equipment and exits, and that I can have a clear line of view to all children.
· Ensure children are only released only to authorized people;
· Ensure children’s health and safety is not compromised in the mixed age group;
· The children will be in my view at all times while outside of the home. Inside the home, I will able to respond to the child to provide immediate care and protection from harm.
. Video monitors will be used when the children are having nap/rest time.
· Complete accident/incident forms for all injuries and report them to the Licensing Officer as soon as practicable;
· Be consistent in enforcing limits set using my “Guidance Policy”
· Ensure that supervision is active and interactive with children.
· Encourage children who wish to use the bathroom, to inform me and I will accompany them if they are in need of help.
· Address any strangers to my center in a friendly way, while observing the person’s actions. Any concerns will have immediate actions to follow.
· Ensure that front door and playground gates are closed after entry and exit;
· Ensure all areas are visible, accessible and free of potential hazards;
· Ensure to follow all guidelines and legislation;
